.avif)
Your personal alarm is designed to be there for you when it matters most. That’s why MePACS asks all clients to complete a Monthly Pendant Test (MPT). This quick and easy test helps ensure your alarm is working as it should and that you know how to activate it.
What is the Monthly Pendant Test (MPT)?
The Monthly Pendant Test is a quick test clients complete once a month with MePACS to confirm the alarm system is working properly. When your alarm is installed, the monthly test date is written on a magnet attached to the front of your User Guide. We recommend placing this magnet on your fridge or another visible spot as a helpful reminder.
Completing the MPT helps confirm your alarm works correctly, can connects to MePACS, and you can clearly hear and speak with our operators.
It is important to note that while we may call to remind you that your MPT is overdue, it is the responsibility of the client to complete the test each month.
What are the benefits of testing the alarm monthly?
A quick monthly test helps ensure your safety every day, provides reassurance and helps prevent issues before an emergency occurs.

What’s the difference between the MPT and the Daily Call?
Both services support your safety but in different ways: The MPT focuses on alarm reliability, while the Daily Call focuses on personal wellbeing.
Who should complete the MPT?
It is the responsibility of every MePACS client to complete the test each month. Carers, friends or family members can assist if needed.
Which alarms should be tested?
Any alarm device you have with MePACS should be tested monthly, including the home pendant alarm, Solo Connect Watch and Mobile Alarm. Regularly testing each alarm device helps ensure it is working as it should. If you’re unsure which devices are linked to your service or how to test them, our team can help.
What if I miss my MPT date?
If you miss your date, simply complete the test as soon as you remember. There is no penalty for missing the exact date —the most important thing is making sure your alarm works when you need it.
Make monthly testing part of your routine
Taking a few minutes each month to complete your Monthly Pendant Test is a simple way to help ensure your personal alarm is ready when it counts.
