Keeping Australians safe for 35 Years
Founded in 1989, MePACS has grown into a national personal alarm provider supporting over 48,000 Australians. For 35 years, we have been dedicated to helping people live confidently and independently.

Our story
Empowering Independence Since 1989
Originally called the Mt Eliza Personal Alarm Care Service, MePACS was founded in 1989 as a division of Peninsula Health. It was only available to 30 people as a Victorian government-funded service, now known as Personal Alert Victoria (PAV).
With a growing need in the community, more funding was allocated to PAV and by 1994, MePACS was supporting 2000 Victorian clients.
In 2016, MePACS became a national service. Our client base continued to grow and we now support close to 50,000 clients across Australia.
In January 2026, Peninsula Health merged with four other public health entities and became Bayside Health. As part of the new Bayside Health, MePACS continues to deliver peace of mind — empowering thousands of Australians to live with confidence and independence.
