Faces of MePACS

Introducing Olivia—one of MePACS much‑loved Emergency Response Operators. Olivia is known for her kindness, compassion, calm presence and the occasional giggle shared with clients. Behind that friendly voice on the phone is a woman with a love for nature, adventure and helping others. Not to mention her household full of quirky pets!

Finding her place at MePACS

Olivia grew up on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula —surrounded by beaches, wetlands and plenty of space for animals. Nature has always been her happy place.

She heard about MePACS through her family who worked at Peninsula Health. Being part of a service that helps people feel safe and supported at home instantly resonated with her, and she knew she’d found the right place to build a meaningful career.

As an Emergency Response Operator, she answers emergency button activations, follows up on missed daily calls and assists with client enquiries. No two days are ever the same — but every day she knows she’s making a difference.

What she loves most

For Olivia, it’s all about the people.

She says, “One of the things I love most about MePACS is working with like‑minded people who genuinely care about our clients. It makes every shift feel meaningful.”

Olivia loves connecting with clients and sharing friendly moments. “I enjoy talking to different clients; and knowing they put their trust in us to take care of them, means a lot to me.” Their gratitude stays with her long after the call ends.

Those small conversations — the ones that brighten someone’s day — are what makes Olivia's role feel truly special to her.

Life outside of work

When she’s not supporting clients, Olivia is out exploring the world, or at least the outdoors. She plays basketball, loves watching the footy (go Saints!), takes her dog on long walks and has recently taken up running.

Travel is one of her biggest passions — a safari tour through Afirca is at the very top of her bucket list.

Her most recent adventure was a special trip to China with her mum and grandma for her grandma’s 80th birthday. Highlights included the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, Disneyland, the sparkling Shanghai skyline and seeing a panda, which she says, "are even cuter than you might imagine!"

Meet her pets

Olivia’s home is basically a small, adorable zoo.

She has Danny, a groodle who recently joined the family; Simon, a hairless cat with one blue and one green eye plus a wardrobe that rivals most humans; and Jimmy, a cheeky cockatiel.

Simon is a bit of a celebrity around MePACS thanks to his ever‑growing collection of fashion photos.
