Advice for Contacts

The success of the service depends on people who are willing to be Contacts for our clients. You may be a friend, family member or neighbour who lives within 30 minutes drive of the Client. To be a Contact you need to be able to assist the Client as quickly as possible if you are called to do so by MEPACS.

We encourage our Clients to have between 2 and 4 Contacts, so if the first one isn’t available, we can choose another. We encourage you to have a key to the Client’s home or access to a keysafe.

As a contact, it is important for you to let us know if your details have changed, or if you are going away or unable to be reached at any time. With the client’s consent, you may like to nominate another friend or relative to take your place during this period.
